—Blue Jays fans in Toronto and around the world

Thanks Roy for the memories and giving us a reason to watch baseball in our city. 4 years from now come back

—nemo, burlington

thanks Roy for being such a swell guy!

—Bill Ray, Regina

Thank you everything Doc. You were a class act, an ace, and you gave our ball club hope.

—Nathen, Kingston

Toronto sports icons such as Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, Joe Carter mean a lot to the fans in Toronto and much of the country. Its safe to say you are on this list as well and we all wish you success in Philly. Baseball games wont be the same but I will still sport my Halladay Jersey with Pride!!
Must mention your wife as well she had a huge impact on the Toronto Community best of luck to both of you!

—Chris Ritchie Cambridge Ontario

I know your pissed about being traded to the Phillies and not the Yankees. Sorry. But even if you never win a WS with the Phillies, finishing second isn’t so bad

—Winston, London

I wish Doc nothing but the best.

Doc deserves a chance at a WS ring and I wish it had been with the Jays. He gave them every chance, but it was not to be. Good luck in your quest Doc.

—Ottawa

You gave us 12 years of brilliance and then left us as a going away present with three outstanding young kids.

I apologize for us never having got you to the Play-offs – our bad. Thanks for sticking with us so long. Win a few World Series rings – you deserve them.

You’ll ALWAYS be welcome back “home” in TO. God speed.

—Mylegacy, Nanaimo

Thanks for helping me win a Fantasy Baseball title by pitching so many complete games shutouts.

How the fuck am I supposed to fill these shoes?

—Kyle Drabek, Philadelphia

Roy,

I’m glad you are going to the Phillies to get your chance at a World Series. You are a class act and you deserve this chance to win it all. I’m a Blue Jays Fan for life but now that you’re going to a contender I have someone to root for in the post season.

Once again – Thanks for everything Roy. We’ll miss you but at least you’re in the National League now so we won’t have to face you regularly :)

—Tim, Keswick

Roy, WE MISS YOU!!!

You were and are the best!!!

—Jake, Toronto

Roy, you’re everything any baseball fan would want in their ace pitcher. Toronto will always miss you, and we hope you’ll go into Cooperstown (which you will enter) in Jays’ colors. All the best in Philadelphia, I’ll still be rooting for you.

—Bernard, Toronto

Thanks for nothing Roy. You should have come to Milwaukee when you had the chance. Now we don’t even want you and won’t ever want you.

—Doug Melvin, Wisconsin

You deserve to win and will do so in Philly. Thank you for allowing me to say to my future kids for the better part of a decade, I got to see the best pitcher in baseball every week.

Good luck.

—Shane, Toronto

Thank you for bringing joy to my life as a Jays fan, it was a pleasure and a gift to get to watch you throw every 5 days.

—Dave

I saw you throw that 10 inning shutout on a Friday night this past season and was having breakfast at the stadium on Sunday morning when you were busting your ass running and throwing a bully….awesome, man. You are hands down the most respected player that has put on the Jays uni, and likely in MLB because of your conduct in the game, with your team mates and coaching staff, as a representative of the team and the city, and of fans from coast to coast. Thanks for the memories and may Philly goo all the way with you this season!

—Jeff, Temiskaming Shores

Thank you Roy. Wish you all the best. Can’t wait to see you in Jays hat in Cooperstown!

—Willy

Roy, hope you get some rings out there. We’ll miss you!!

—Phil, Toronto

I wish the Bluejays had been able to provide you with the success that you deserve. See you in June.

—Jason, Strathroy

You will always be my favourite baseball player of all time. It was a joy and a treat to see you pitch every 5 days. Good luck in Philadelphia and I hope you are able to get a World Series ring or two.
