thanks.
Amazing pitcher on the field and a classy person. Hope you get your World Series ring one day.
It have been said a millions times before, simply the classiest athlete in all of sport. Thanks for all the wonderful moments, and being an awesome role model for youth in Toronto area, and the rest of Canada. Simply the best athlete this city has ever seen. BEST OF LUCK ! Maybe one of these days you won’t come back and finish your Hall of Fame Career in TO.
Good Luck Roy!!!
Too bad more athletes don’t have the same class as you do and you were amazing pitching for the Jays. Now go get yourself a ring!!!
Roy,I remember back in 2002, I was in a conversation about the Jays and this guy said sarcastically “I can’t wait for the Jays to play this year, our number 1 pitcher is Roy Halladay, great.” 19 wins later and a 2.93 ERA, I think you shut him and the rest of your critics up and proved you were no fluke by winning the Cy Young the following year!
Thanks for all the great memories and being the reason why I’m still a Jays fan today. Now go win that ring and another Cy Young to boot!
My favorite Blue Jay of all time. Thanks for the memories Roy!
Class act all the way. Your recent ad in the Toronto Sun speaks volumes to your ideals as an athlete and a fine human being. I hope you one day have a World Series Ring…
signed now a Phillie Fan
Roy, I will always rock the #32 on the back of my Jays jersey. And it will be waiting for you when you come back to Toronto to close out your career.
Best of Luck. Win that ring you so richly deserve.
Thanks Roy – I moved away from the Toronto area in 2002, but everytime I got tix to games, I hoped you would be pitching… same goes next year when I try to get in to watch the Phils play.
You’re one of the best and have shown class all the way. Best of luck in Philly – hope you get your ring!
Thanks Doc for all the great years of pitching! You are by far the the greatest pitcher i’ve ever seen pitch (i’ve only been watching baseball for about 5 years). That note that was in the Toronto sun just shows how much of a class athlete you are. Best of luck in Philie and hope you win one for Canada.
Cheers Big guy!
Good luck in Philly Roy and congrats on the 2010 Cy Young and world champs
Class act. Great pitcher Excellent role model.
Thanks for your great years of service, always welcome back to Toronto. Many of us are now supporters of Philadelphia, and we hope to see you get that ring you deserve.
Best of luck, and thanks again for the great memories.
This is truely a sad occasion for all Blue Jay fans, but a new begining for the classiest, hardest working, thoughtful, and caring sports athelete to ever play in Canada. Good luck to you Mr. Halliday as you deserve all that the world will bring you in the future. Hopefully you will get that World Series ring that you have strived to get over the years. Too bad it couldn’t get done with the Blue Jays. You will be sadly miseed by all of us.
gonna rock your jersey with pride man!
nothin but class
Thanks for the memories
A true class act by a true athlete! Now go earn that ring you deserve!
Dr. Halladay it was an absolute honour to watch you play these last 12 years. I was at your one hitter in 98 and that is still to this day the most memorable game I have ever been to. You are without a doubt the best pitcher in baseball and it will be scary to see how great you can be with a little run support. I may be naive to think you might return to us in four years but please keep that thought in the back of your head. I wish the Blue Jays could have kept you but it became clear that at the moment we simply are not worthy.
Thanks for everything #32…. and go win a World Series
You’re one of the few athletes today that I would encourage my kids to look up to.
You’re one in a million, and it was an honor to have you playing for the Blue Jays.
Win a ring!
Roy,
We wish you all the best in Philly, you are a true class act and we were very lucky to watch you Pitch for the last 11 years.
All the best,
Jared Coleman
Amazing pitcher, wonderfull person, a Blue Jays for life.

Thank you for all you have done for the Blue Jays organization. It is a great lose for the team and the City of Toronto to see you in another uniform. Best of luck on the Philly’s, get your ring.
