“We shall not look upon his like again.”
Roy, you are the best pitcher in baseball. Thank you for all the great seasons. Once your contract is up sign with us so you can win the world seriers as a Blue Jays!
thank you roy for giving the jays fans something to cheer about i will miss saying hi to you every time i do my roll call
No hard feelings doc! you were a professional from the start to the finish, it has been a pleasure watching you work. The city and all it’s baseball fans will miss you dearly. I wish you the best of luck in your quest for a championship ring.
Roy,
Were the greatest Jay as a player as an Ambassador and role model. I hope to see yo in Copperstown one day.
Thanks Roy for giving all the casual baseball fans in my life a reason to enjoy the game with me. I loved the Jays before you got here and I’ll love them after, but you transcended the team and made any game you were involved in something my entire family could enjoy. Best of luck in Philly, I will be wearing your new jersey and hoping you win that ring!
I wanna have your baby Roy
Thanks for being the main reason I began watching baseball. You are everything a sportsperson should be. A perfect role-model.
Go get the world series ring you deserve. Everyone in Canada will be cheering!
I miss your musk..
you rock, gl hope ya win a ws
I hope to see you back pitching for the Jays in 2014 or 2015, after you have won the World Series with Philly.
Doc, you will be missed in Canada. I’ve said for years that you would, easily, be on my all-time 5 man starting rotation.
I hope you get a title. You rock!
We’ll miss you! Best athlete to wear any Toronto uniform… as much as i don’t like the Phillies, i’ll be cheering for you.
Roy, while I’ll miss you as one of the greatest pitchers in a Jays uniform, I’ll especially miss your commercial where the bank robbers were asking for their demands and noticed you were there, then their demands changed to getting your autograph and only talking to you; all the while you were sipping your soda. Good luck in Philly! I’ll still be cheering you on.
Thanks Roy, very proud of what you have become.
Can you do me a favour? Send back a picture of the first time you put on the World Series ring that is inevitably yours. Pretty please?
follow up comment. Decline and Fall of the Toronto empire as a world class sports and entertainment city is now complete. Many years in the making with too much glad handing and comfortable people without vision. Toronto aspired to be Chicago and New York in the 80′s and 90′s and in many ways came very close. Love city of my birth but I think Toronto if not already will have Pittsburgh or Nashville envy.
Thank you for everything you’ve done here, Roy. I loved going to the dome to watch you pitch, truly will miss having you here. I hope that you achieve your goals in Philly and you will likewise always have a place in OUR hearts.
Thank you for the twelve seasons of awesome pitching, granted I was only 5 when you started. In the past few years I’ve watched you pitch virtually every start, and I’m amazed every time. You are truly what every pitcher should strive to be talent-wise, and what every person in the world should strive to be in terms of integrity. I’ll be there to cheer you on when you come in in June. Win one for us in Philly, the Jays fans will be behind you.
