thanks roy as a lifetime fan you have meant so much to our team wish you well in philly i have been to spring training three times and must say seeing you work your hardest for us has been an honour
Your work ethic is unbeatable. Your passion is clear in every pitch, every out, every defensive play. You have been an amazing role model for our pitching staff , past and present, and for our whole team. I wish we had been able to get you a chance at a world series ring. You’ll have that now. You will always have a place in the hearts of Toronto Blue Jays fans. Hope to see you one day back in Toronto. Best of luck to you and your family!
I can’t imagine our season without you. It will be very different on opening day when you are not pitching for us. I had hoped for one more year with you on our team, but I wish you luck with the Phillies. I am thankful that I can say I saw the great Roy Halladay pitch several times at the SkyDome. From the game when you almost got a no hitter against Detroit in 1998 to the gem against AJ and the Yankees in 2009. Thanks for the memories! I hope your path brings you to Toronto again. It’s where you belong. Best of luck to you and your family.
While it is a shame that the Blue Jays will lose such an amazing pillar of the organization and our community, we are excited at the prospect of watching you excel in the play-offs! What could have been had JP been able to put together a strong enough team? You’ve certainly been my Favourite Blue Jay and we’ll miss you.
I’m just floating this out there but, is there any chance that we could see you return as a Salt and Peppered veteran or in Managerial roll with the organization?
Roy for Prime Minister (No offense Harper)
Best of luck to you and your family! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for all the great memories. You are the best!!
Thanks for all the great years of you pitching for the BLUE JAYS.I hope that when you retire you will wear the jays uniform once again. Now go get that World series ring that you deserve.
As a kid, I grew up watching Roy Halladay. He never ceases to amaze us all with his stuff. He pitches with such passion and heart incomparable by any other pitcher in the MLB. He has been the backbone of the organization and emerged as a leader.
It has been well over a week since the trade, and I think we’re all still stunned by the announcement. I am extremely saddened to see the end of an era for the Jays.
Roy Halladay pitches from the heart, and is arguably the best active MLB pitcher, if not ever.
Best of luck with the Phillies, Doc!
Thanks Doc for all you have brought to the Blue Jays every time you pitched. The only regret is that we didn’t have a good enough team to get you to the plays offs.
Good luck in Philly, and I hope to watch you pitch in the World Series!
You are by far the best pitcher in the MLB and probably for a long time, I for one have enjoyed more than just you winning the games, but also your class and how you treat the game of baseball from your heart, you’ll be remembered always as a true-to-all Blue Jays pitcher.
The greatest Jay ever to wear the jersey. Thanks for all the great years. I wish you all the best in Philly!
Thanks Doc for all that you have achieved with the Jays. Good luck in the future. You have been entered into my personal hall of fame! HERO!!
You will never be forgotten insdie the wall of the Rogers Center. You are a true hero, the best pitcher there will ever be. Good luck in Philladelphia and on winning the wordl series (hopefully!!)
Your are clearly the best pitcher ever in MLB and the coolest looking player i’ll ever know. good job doc!!!
Thanks Roy for always putting the team before yourself. You were the perfect example of what a baseball player should be. We can’t thank you enough for all the great memories you have given to Blue Jays fans around the world. Go get a World Series ring!
You are without a doubt the classiest athlete that Toronto has seen in my days as a fan of all the sports in Toronto. I hope you win more than one World Series in future years and I will continue to cheer for you. Thank you for all you have done for the Blue Jays and the example you have been to my nephews I take to the Blue Jay games.
Again, all the best to you and your family. Maybe when you finish your playing days you will consider being a Pitching Coach for the Jays.
You’ve been a credit to the organization, a joy to watch, and we’ll definitely miss you in Toronto. Your work ethic is an example to the rest of the team. I hope those who follow you will carry on in the Roy Halladay tradition of professionalism that you brought to the team, day in and day out.
Roy,
Thanks for being a great role model and helluva competitor. My family and I travelled many times to Toronto from Rochester, NY to see you pitch. My little girls know who you are and often ask if Doc is pitching today. As Blue Jay fanatics, our family was saddended by your departure, but we wish you luck.

You are a great role model and an amazing athlete.
Hope you achieve your wish to win a world series a player like you sure deserves it.
