You are a true ambassador for the sport of baseball. Thank you so much for everything you have done for the Blue Jays and for being a great role model for so many young fans. Watching you pitch is magical. I wish you health and happiness and the success you truly deserve.

Roy, it’s been an honor being able to watch you pitch every 5 games for Jays. You’ve done so many great things, for the team, the organization, and wherever you are, on and off the field. I’ve learned many things watching you pitch, and it has helped me become a better pitcher. With the solid defense, and hitting the Phillies have, I can imagine you not losing a game this year. NL Cy Young for sure. Thanks for everything Roy. I will be there to watch you pitch in the Rogers Center in June. Good luck with the rest of your career.

Roy, thanks for all the great memories and all your hard work over your years with the Blue Jays. When you look in the dictionary under the word class act, you will find your name. I can’t see anyone replacing the leadership that you provided to the Jays and how your work ethic would rub off on other members of the team.
I will be definetly following/cheering for you in Philly and hope that you win the World Series that you deserve (too bad it didn’t happen in Toronto). I hope to be at the game in Toronto when you return and watch the roof blow off with the applause when you walk on the field.

Hey Roy,
I had the pleasure of meeting you back in the summer of 2005 at the Molson Amphitheatre when you and your wife were taking in a concert. (I was working there at the time and escourted you to an area where you could get some peace away from some of your fans.)

Thank you for everything you have done for Blue Jays fans in Toronto and across Canada. Your intensity, passion and class will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

All the best to you, your family and your future success in Philadelphia with the Phillies. (The National League won’t know what is coming.) May you win a World Series ring and a few more Cy Young’s on the side.

Doc, we will miss you so much on our team. I was a huge Jays fan growing up, then had a few years away from it, but you helped get me excited about the game again. I feel like I’ve had a chance to watch one of the greatest, and that I’ll get to describe to baseball fans in the future about how I got to see Doc play for my team. I watch so many games, it’s hard not to feel like a friend is moving away, but hey, I think that’s how a lot of us feel, and why we all wish you the greatest success. We all want to see such a stand-up guy reach the top. All we can offer are our greatest thanks for sticking by us for so long I’ll be watching you tear ‘em up in Philly, and will be one of the thousands standing when you come to visit us

Roy you were the only thing bring me to the Rogers center by the end of the year and you always made me proude to be a jays fan. Go kill the yankkees and then make your grande return back here. I used to hate the philles until you joined the team. Thanks for some great memories.
