For the past decade, no pitcher dominated as emphatically as Roy Halladay. To the humble, undyingly loyal ace of the Toronto Blue Jays staff — your dedication transcends w0rds and I simply cannot express my gratitude. Best of luck to you, Doc
The best pitcher in Jays history, and future Hall of Famer. Every fifth day you know you were going to get a great start. Thanks for the great years Doc, it was a treat watching you pitch. Good luck in Philly, and maybe when your contract expires you can come back to the Jays. Who knows, maybe they will be contenders by then. The greatest Jay ever.
Class Act and I beleive all athletes could learn a few things from you!
Good luck in Philadelphia. It would be a great pleasure to see you not only pitch in the 2010 World Series but also winning it. You’re a class act like none other.
Thank you Roy for everything you’ve done for the Blue Jays. It still hasn’t really hit me that you won’t be pitching for the Jays anymore. You’re a true professional and a total class act. I’m hoping to see you help the Phillies knock off the Yanks for the World Series. Phillies are now a team that I’ll be paying alot more attention to. Best of luck and thank you for everything.
Roy, you are first-class all the way. Your skill, work ethic and integrity set a shining example for your teammates. We will miss you and wish you the very best in Philadelphia. We hope to see you back ata the Rogers Centre for the inter-league series in June, and you can count on a standing “O” from Toronto fans.
Thanks Doc for the memories, never forget.
All the best to you and your family!!!!
Craig, Halifax
Thanks for the great memories and being such a class act. We loved what you gave us and wish you every success in what is almost certainly a bright future.
Class act.
Thanks for all the memories Roy, wish you the best of luck in Philly. Win one for all of us, we’re rooting for you!
This is a thanks, not only for what you’ve given to your fans in the past, but also a thanks for what you will accomplish in the future with your new team. Your fans will continue to follow you and cheer you on, now matter where you play. You not only gave your all to the Blue Jays with your skill, passion, and work ethic, but you also gave your all with your class, respect, and dignity.
My hat is off to the Phillies, they now have a future member of the hall of fame and have gained legions of new fans as well. I will be watching as many of your games as I can, and I can’t wait to see you with a world series winning smile.
how did I get more votes than you in the 2009 AL CY Young voting? The only stat that I beat you in was I had 2 more wins.
You beat me in IP, ERA, WHIP, K’S etc, etc..
who knows how those idiotic voters vote, sorry DOC, you clearly were the better pitcher than me in 2009.
Thanks for all the memorable moments!
Best of luck to you in Philly.
I remember Roy Halladay’s first game where he almost pitched a perfect game. Bobby Higginson (I think) hit a homerun off him in the 9th. I’ve enjoyed watching Doc pitch for over a decade. He was always the classiest athlete and came off as a gentleman. Disappointed that he couldn’t finish his career in Toronto, but I’m cheering for the Phillies now. Best of luck Roy.
Doc, you are my hero. The way you go about doing your work and the effort and time you put into it is unbelievable. It was a sad day when you left the Jays organization, but knowing that you’re going to a team with a chance to win is great. Best wishes on your future career with the Phillies and I hope you win a ring or 5 someday. Thank you for all the unforgettable memories you’ve seeded in our hearts. I’m ashamed of myself for never putting on your jersey and going to a game at Yankee Stadium, and tell all those Yankee fans, “Do you know who #32 on my back is? He is a living legend; the best starting pitcher today!” Don’t ever stop doing what you do, Doc. I want to see you pitching til you’re 50 years old, and I will never get tired of watching you nail the CG every 5 days.
Thanks for Everything Doc ! !
Doc, you are everything an athelete should be, but I fear we’ll never see another like you in a Jays uniform. Your dominance and class will never be forgotten. Go get your world series ring in Philly. We’ll miss you.
Good luck in Philly, Doc. You gave us the best years of your career and Jays fans everywhere will never forget you for it. I can’t wait to see “32″ hanging in the outfield at Rogers Centre down the line and telling my kids I saw the great Roy Halladay pitch. All the best in the NL!!
From your 1st day in Toronto you showed Blue Jay fans just how classy a person you are! You derserve to win a World Series ring. All the best to you in Philly!!!
