Thanks for all of the memories. You were the pitcher of the 2000s. I hope that when you enter the Hall of fame someday, that you will choose a jays cap to wear.

Your the best Roy, i’ll miss you as a jay, but can’t wait to see you in the playoffs, and getting your chnace for your ring. You deserve it more then anybody, and i know you will win it. Hope after that we can see you back here in a few years to finish your wonderful career, and win us a championship too.
Doc, thanks for all the great memories! You are the consement pro, a great person and player.
I hope we get to see you back in a Jays uniform in 3 years to help us win our next series!
Cheers
David and Donna Somerville (home of Matt Stairs!)
Doc,
You have to be the absolute classiest player in the game today. Thank you for being you: kind, generous, and talented.
You’ve been with us through a lot of bad years and I want to thank you for that. I wish you nothing but the best for your future in Philly and if you ever get that WS ring, maybe you should pop by Toronto and show us it in person.
Hey Roy,
Thanks for all the hard work you’ve given the Blue Jays over the years. It’s sad to see you go. I really hope you get the ring you’re looking for. You’ve already more than earned it.
Roy, I hope you get that ring you are looking for. You deserve it. You worked hard for Toronto and were the cornerstone for us for 10 years. It’s gonna be hard watching the box scores and not seeing your name under Toronto.
Doc…
You are a class act… I truly enjoyed watching you pitch for the Jays… you were masterful. I will never forget your near no hitter against the Tigers in 1998. My wife is not the biggest baseball fan but she absolutely respects your work ethic and dedication to the community. We will dearly miss you in Toronto… good luck in Philly Doc… you deserve nothing but the best.
Roy, I remember watching Blue Jay games with my grandmother, who was a die hard fan, for as long as I can remember. Her favorite player was Dave Steib, as she thought of him to be a hard working classy player. She lived long enough to see the Blue jays win back to back World Series in 92′ and 93′. She died shortly there after, before you made your debut. I wish she would have had the chance to see you play for the Blue Jays, as you possess the same traits she loved in a ball player. I have been a Blue Jay fan from birth and you are my favorite player. I am sad to see you leave, but at the same time I am happy that you get to live out your dream of playing in a pennant race and possibly a World Series. I hope you have the time of your life in Philadelphia. I now have to get a subscription to MLB TV so that I may watch every start you make as a Philly. Go win your world series. No one deserves it more. Thank you for your loyalty to the franchise and to the sacrifices you made.
Godspeed Doc.
All the Best Doc,
Roy,
I will never forget listening to that one hitter against the Tigers you pitched in 1998. You have been a superstar on and off the field. It was always an honor to watch you pitch. It felt good to have not just one of the best pitchers but one of the best people in baseball on the Jays. Thanks and good luck in Philly.
Roy! You are a Blue Jays legend and will be up in the level of excellence before long. One of the best to wear a Blue Jays uniform and one of the best to ever play any sport in Canada. Roy, you are a class act and we salute you and wish you all the best in Philly!
Roy you’re simply a class act. We all appreciate your dedication and passion for the Jays. It’s too bad we lose a good player but more importantly a good person from the organization. I wish you luck.
Roy Roy Roy… it is said to see you go. I remember being devastated when Bobby Higginson hit the home run off you in the 9th to break up your no-hitter. I have been a die hard Blue Jays fan for as long as I can remember and as sad as I am to say this, you deserve a chance to win a World Series and that opportunity wasn’t happening with us. I hope, though, that you enter the Hall with a Jays hat on. You are truly a class act and will be missed immensely.
Roy, you’re an amazing baseball player and an amazing role model for so many out there. You’ve made everyone around you better, and have influenced so many over the years. Thanks for all the great years in t.o. Best of luck in Philly. You deserve nothing but the best.
What is there to say. Roy u truely are a class act u have done so much for this team, community and the fans. We are going to miss u a lot. I wish u and your family nothing but luck in Philly. Please try and convince your new coach to let u pitch in Toronto because i will be down there for sure to see u one last time.
Roy, truly you we’re the life and soul of the Blue Jays for years, and you will be dearly missed. I still remember the last time I saw you pitch on Opening Day this year, and it won’t be the same next year without you in Toronto. Sad that we couldn’t win a championship with you, but I’m certain that a championship is in your future in Philly.
We’ll miss you on the mound Roy! you are definatly the best pitcher in the MLB! Good Luck in Philly
