I wish you could have stayed a Blue Jay for life but things happen for a reason. Maybe you can come back to the Jays when your 4-5 year contract ends with the Phillies.

I guess this is the only the Phillies get redemption for the 1993 World Series.

I was a Phillies fan before, and an evan bigger one now. You symbolized the final ray of hope in a once great club. I dread the next few years for the Blue Jays, but will relish in watching you put a ring on every finger with the mighty Phils.

Roy you were the greatest athlete this city has ever seen and on top of that you always carried yourself with class. I hope you know the whole city supports you and wishes you well in Philly.
I have seen you pitch live, many a times and it was always a sight to see.
Hopefully you will pitch against the Jays this coming season when you guys are in town.

Who are the Blue Jays? I am from Oakville but have never heard of this team? It seems no one in Canada supports them.

Why are we thanking you for doing your job? We only had to pay you 108 Million over the last few years. I mean, shouldn’t you be down on your knees thanking us? I gave away 2,000 a year of my 50,000 a year salary for Blue Jays tickets.

You should be thanking me for not quitting on you, like you did on us. You took your 108 million and left.

I also had the privilege of meeting you in 2006 at the jays luncheon you are a really great human being and hope you come back to the jays when your contract end with the Phills also I hope that you enter the Hall Of Fame with the jays hat on your head.
