Without a doubt my favourite athlete of all time.. all of my best memories as a baseball fan are attached to you. You are a gentleman and your exemplary determination was a model for not only your teammates, but Jays fans across the country. You meant the world to us, Doc, and a simple ‘thank you’ could never suffice.
Good luck Doc and thanks for everything, you better wear a Jays cap for your HOF induction!
Too bad all these fake fans never came out to support the team while you were here. But all of a sudden they’re mourning your trade as if they can actually name any players not named Halladay or Wells. These fake (see: Maple Leafs) fans should go back and cry into their Tie Domi jerseys.
You are a great pitcher, but I’m glad you were able to leave this disaster of a sports town. Best of luck to you, Doc.
I Don’t think the people of toronto can thank roy halladay as much as he deserves it. He brought unwaivering class and dignity to the city and embodied the game of baseball like no other. For those reasons when I think baseball I think roy halladay.
We will miss you Roy. Best of luck in Philadelphia.
Doc I will always love you.
I’d like to thank the fans, you guys, for all of your support.
Moving to Philadelphia is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my entire life, and I’ll never forget about you. My wife actually told me about this site, and it’s very touching.
Now get a life and stop making these bullshit posts. Cito Gaston is a terrible manager, Halladay out.
Doc, you go down as the best pitcher in Blue Jays history, and were an inspiration both on and off the field. Nothing excites me more than the opportunity to watch you pitch in the playoffs. Best of luck.
Doc, I will truly miss watching you euthanize the Yankees like you did so many times. If the Jays are competitive in 4 years when your contract is up with the Phillies, please come back?
Sup Doc. Thanks for being such a grade-A class gentleman, a bulldog of a fighter, and an example for all young athletes to look up to all across Canada. Good luck in Philly. Gonna miss you in powder blue.
Roy, you are one of the classiest athletes this city has ever had. I wish we could have met our dreams together. I admire your work ethic and competitiveness. You are an inspiration for us all and will be missed greatly. For almost a decade you were the heart and soul of our club and stadium. You drew 10-15,000 more fans each time you took the mound. And you made a relief appearance when we needed you.
I wish you nothing but the best in Philadelphia. Thanks for not ending up in Boston or New York, it means alot to us. I guess, go Phillies! Win it this year Roy, you deserve it.
Thank you,
And Good Luck.
Doc. The consummate professional, the ultimate competitor and the absolute gentleman. Good luck in Philly. I’m rooting for you.
Roy, you are, and will forever be, my favourite Jay. Your numbers speak for themselves, you are a TREMENDOUS player. But the fact that you maintained 100% class during the tough years makes you a truly remarkable person. I hope you win it all soon, because you deserve it. Come back to Toronto before your career is done and retire a Jay! Please!
Well Roy, you and your agents pretty much guaranteed that we wouldn’t get as good a return as hoped thanks to your silly deadline. I don’t get all the silly fan sentiment here. It’s not like you played here for free. You were a great pitcher and paid like it. Now you’re somewhere else, so who cares?
We took you for granted. I hope you will remember all the good memories in Toronto, I just hoped that they would’ve been GREAT memories (winning a WS).
I hope as your career progresses, you will come back to Toronto in some way.
Best of luck in Philly
Thanks Roy. When i first got into baseball, you were on your way to a Cy Young. I wanted to go to your 22nd win that year, but I had a project for school. I saw you pitch against AJ this year and that has been, by far, the best MLB game I have ever attended.
Thanks for the memories, and all the best in Philly.
P.S. Please retire in Toronto.
Roy, your loyalty to the Blue Jays organization and the City of Toronto will never be forgotten. You were one of the classiest individuals to ever put on a uniform in this city and you will be dearly missed. You deserve a world championship ring and I hope you get it in Philly. I hope you return to Toronto to finish your career. Good luck Doc!
I remeber my first baseball game at Skydome and Roy was pitching , i remeber my last one Roy was pitching, i only watched bluejays when Roy was pitching.
Its really sad that he didnt get the chance to get in post season but he will win next year. Cy young + championship
you are the best athlete and i cant belive that i got to witness that that
thanks for all the wonderful memories and i will be following your team Phillies next year.
Roy you really were the reason I got so into baseball. The first game I ever saw you shut out the Yankees. From there on baseball became my life. When I decided to start playing baseball I chose to become a pitcher with the hope of doing as well as you. I now play high level baseball and hope to be drafted soon. Thank you Roy for all you gave the fans and the City of Toronto. we will all miss you. Roy for NL Cy young 2010 !

Last name Ever, First name Greatest.
Thanks Doc for being the perfect embodiment of a professional pitcher as well as a good man.
Take your throne alongside the rest of T Dot legends like Gilmour, Wendal, Pinball and Joltin Joe.
That is your mound @ the Dome. Level excellence isn’t enough. The mound should forever say Greatness pitched here.
Thanks for making us believe we always had a shot every 5th day.
Good luck and get that ring in Philly.
