Harry Leroy Halladay (Doc) will be missed by all, true competitor, gamer, with an off field routine as fierce as his on field intensity. A class act, good luck on your endeavors with the Phils win a couple rings and hopefully you can close out your career as a Jay and finally get that ring you always wanted as a Blue Bird. *Tip of the Cap*
Dear Roy,
I really hope you get the chance to see these posts. You were the greatest athlete to ever put on a Jay’s jersey. We watched as you picked yourself up & dusted yourself off. We watched you develop from a rookie into one of the greatest athletes of our time. Thank you for that privilege Doc. Thank you for everything you have done for Toronto, for The Jays & for the fans.
While it breaks our hearts that you are no longer here, you are so well loved & respected that everyone wishes you nothing but success & the ring you deserve.
There will ALWAYS be a place for you here. I only hope that some day you will return to us. Perhaps someday these tears of sadness will be tears of joy. I for one will continue to follow your career. I will applaud every milestone, attend every game when the Phillie’s are in town & yell the loudest until you take your curtain call.
We tip our caps to you Roy. All the best to you, Brandy & kids.
I am a Red Sox fan.
Good Luck is Phillie. Just don’t ‘Mitch William’ it.
Who is this guy is he a Good Pitcher or something? Or like a 2003 Cy Young winner or something like that?
Thank you Blue Jays GM for giving the New York Yankees an easier road against Toronto 5 times out of the 20 we play you guys! No more Roy Halladay!
Lifelong Jays fan, positive I’ll never see a more talented harder worker in a Jays uniform ever again. Glad to see you’ll get a shot at a world series. Class act, good luck, thanks for the memories. And see you in 2013
Screw Roger Clemens. Screw Carlos Delgado. Screw Dave Stieb. Screw everyone else. Roy Halladay was the best Blue Jay of all-time. I want Roy to win a World Series and a small part of me hopes the Phillies do so, but it’ll be cheering for Roy, not the city of Philadelphia.
Thanks for the memories Roy. Thanks for everything.
Fuck Girardi.
congrats on joining a real baseball team roy. look forward to seeing you and your beard in philly.
In 2003, I was relatively new to Canada, didn’t know too much about baseball. Some of my friends would talk about the “doctor” and what a great pitcher he was. I decided to take a look at one of these Blue Jays games one day…and I’ve never stopped watching.
The reason I bought my self a Jays jersey, the reason I’d spend my summer watching countless games, was because of Doc, because of Roy Halladay.
The best pitcher in baseball, a joy to watch, and will never forget what you did for us.
Hope you win a championship in Philly, and a Cy Young, because you deserve anything you want.
I thought I’d never see the day Roy Halladay would be wearing a different jersey other than a Jays one. Unfortunately it has happened and boy is it wrong. But you know what it’s for the best. It’s best for the team and Doc himself.
Roy, you deserve a chance to win a Championship. Thanks for the great memories. Your the greatest Blue Jay of all-time. Good luck in Philly next year and win it for us.
YANKEES WORLD CHAMPS. HE AINT GANNA HELP.
Glad you finally get to play for a world series team doc the phils will smash the shit out of the yankees now
Welcome to philly DOC time to get you a ring
Thanks, Roy, for showing us kids that athletes can still be role models.
Roy, when I disabled the fair trade rules and sent the Blue Jays Julio Lugo for you it was the single greatest day of my life. Me and you pitched countless complete game victories and shared MANY personal moments over the 2009 season. For 2010, I’m going to have to make the heartbreaking decision to play by the rules and win a World Championship cleanly. It doesn’t help you play in the NL East “The Official CY Young Graveyard”. I probably will never hear about you again. Hope you don’t get stabbed out there!
thanks for the memories roy, in my opinion you we the greatest jay that put on the jersey.
best of lucky in philly.
