It was a true pleasure watching one of the best players in the entire game play for my team. You will be missed.
Roy, you have been the epitome of what a sports superstar should be. Hard working, honest, appreciative and talented. Separation is a part of life, from friends moving away in childhood, moving schools and jobs etc., but it is never easy. THANK YOU for bringing Jays fans so much joy and we hope you get the Phillies another World Series…YOU deserve it.
Thank you for all the great memories Roy. I used to live in Mississauga and grew up a jays fan. I have never seen a pitcher be so dominant for so long. The only consolation we have is that our batters won’t have to face you too much while you mow them down in the NL. All the best.
Don’t go!!!
Thank god you didn’t end up in the AL East.
All the best to you in Philly, but I hope that the Jays win when you come to town in June. You’ll be there to win for the Phillies, hopefully the Jays will step up too.
Prediction:
Jays win 1-0, Lind HR to right field. Halladay for the Phillies throws a complete game.
Thanks Doc, It was an absolute pleasure watching you work every 5 days. The fact you have never been a free agent and wont be for at least 3 more years speaks volumes ab0ut the kind of man and athlete you are. I Hope you get one of the starts against the Jays in June. You’ll get a standing O from me, but then I hope you get shelled. That Bobby Higginson HR still upsets me.
Roy, You cannot be replaced.
You may wear the Phillies hat but you’ll always be a Blue Jay to us.
I miss you already.
It’s sad to see Roy go. While a player like him deserves to get a World Series ring, I’m selfish and didn’t want him traded even though it was in his best interest.
While the World Series victories will always be my fondest Jays memories, the game vs the Yankees this year when it was AJ vs Doc stands as one of the greatest Jays memories for me. The crowd was electric and Doc, always on his game, brought a little bit more to that outing.
Doc is a professional and a class act. I only hope that Philly gives him the respect that he so rightfully deserves.
I look forward to seeing Doc don a Jays hat when he is inducted into Cooperstown
Can’t even begin to describe what a pleasure it was to watch you pitch every 5th day. Hope you get your WS ring in Philly, we’ll be cheering for you.
Dear Roy,
I am at a loss for words, so the best I could do was make this goodbye video for you.

Good luck in Philadelphia and I look forward to seeing you back in Toronto next June.
Roy Halladay, simply the best player to ever put on a blue jays uniform. I enjoyed watching you pitch on various occasions. Thank you for you dedication and hard work. Your work ethic is second to none. You deserve all the best. Good luck to you, and your family.
I’ve never owned a jersey crested with your name and number. I’ve never claimed that you are one of my favourite players. But I started to pay attention to the Jays again and I attended Baseball games again in 2003. I wondered who the heck this “Doc Halladay” guy was. Little did I know at that time, I was going to be spoiled for 6 seasons and that I would be heartbroken once you left. You are awesome with fans, kids, and charities alike when you don’t have to be. Thank you for being a part of “my” team. I just hope that when you’re inducted into the Hall of Fame that you’ll be inducted as a Blue Jay. Best of luck in Philly.
No words can ever say THANK YOU enough. I will miss watching you pitch in the SkyDome. I know you’ll go on to have a great career in Philly, I just hope you look back fondly at your time here in Toronto
Hey Roy! I really want you to know how much my grandmother, myself, and Jays fans around the world appreciate what you have done for the Toronto Blue Jays. You were everything we ever wanted in a player and even more. Your loyalty to the team, work ethic, and selfless attitude will never be forgotten. I am very thankful for having the opportunity to watch you become the incredible pitcher you are today and I wish you nothing but the absolute best with your time in Philadelphia and the rest of your career. I hope you get all the wins and championships that your heart desires that unfortunately wasn’t possible during your time in Toronto. BEST OF LUCK ROY! WE WILL MISS YOU! I will see you in June and cheer you on, and do me one favour… tear those NL hitters apart! Thank you so much, your work here; it is greatly appreciated by the fans here in Toronto! LOT’S OF LOVE!
Thank you for no longer being in the same division as my Red Sox. See you in the World Series
Thank you Roy for giving it your all every time you took the mound. For pitching on short rest, for the complete games, for coming on in relief if you could help win a game. Thanks for being the guy fans could count on and believe in. Thanks for being the greatest pitcher, the greatest Blue Jay, the greatest athlete, and one of the greatest people this city has ever seen. Thank you for all that you gave this team and this city and know that you will forever be the greatest Blue Jay of all time. I’ll see you the day they unveil your banner on the level of excellence.
Thanks for all the memories Roy.
You epitomize what a professional athlete should be. Most will point to your level of excellence on the mound and in the field of play, deservedly so. I want to point to your character! You carried yourself with respect for the game and for your opponents. You put in the necessary work that has thus far allowed us to consider you to be one of the games best. Hope you go into the hall as a BLUE JAY!!!
The greatest Blue Jay of all time. Thank you Roy for every single start. It was an honour and a pleasure watching you work. I hope you get your World Series this season and I will be there when we retire your jersey.

Its been an absolute pleasure watching you single-handedly take over a baseball game with your command. I never thought that I would appreciate a 2 hour game full of ground outs until I started watching you pitch. You represent the phrase “a model professional” to its fullest extent. Phili is lucky to have you and I am sure the impact you have on that organization and that city will be displayed both in the record of the team and in the positive energy that you will create. All the best and go get yourself a few rings.
